Dear Owen,

Today you are 18 months old! You are getting to be such a big boy! You have some favorite words: Thank you, uh-oh, hot, car, cracker, sister, and of course, Mama and Daddy. You love reading board books, being outside and trying on your sister’s dress-up shoes. You are such a funny little guy, too. And you know it! You are a comedian, and when we laugh, you do whatever we laughed at over and over again! It’s been a wonderful year and a half! Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday. We woke up and found Easter baskets and eggs, ate resurrection buns for breakfast, went to church — you danced, Hayden, and then we went to lunch with Nana and Papa. After that, we enjoyed a nice, quiet afternoon at home.

This morning because you were both here to participate in Friday Breakfast Playgroup, we hosted and had a pajama party! Usually you are at school, Hayden, but you had the day off today for Good Friday. We invited the whole playgroup, but not everyone could come. We had some fun breakfast cereals and you played outside with your friends. It was a really good time!

Recently, you decided that gymnastics isn’t for you and that you would like to try dance. You are enjoying it a lot. Your class is doing an Elmo tap dance in the recital, so you tap dance with Elmo a lot during class.

Dear Owen,

After tons of ear infections in the last 5 months, today they put tubes in your ears. We got to the office EARLY this morning (6 am) and we were on our way home by 7:30 — the procedure only took about 10 minutes! We took you in your pajamas and they put you in a baby hospital gown for the procedure. You were a champ! No big deal.
