Rolly Polley

Dear Bennett,

Today you are rolling over… both ways and a whole bunch! This means you probably would have done it sooner, but you don’t spend much time on the ground! You don’t like it very much!! I think you are happy to be moving about, so I am happy for you!

Love you,
Mama

Thankful.

Dear H, O and B,

We spent Thanksgiving weekend in Colorado with Uncle Ramsey, Aunt Lisa, Charlie, Alex, Oliver, Grandma and Jiddoh. We visited the zoo, Garden of the Gods, Santa’s Workshop and The Braodmoor! We also had a great Thanksgiving dinner and some great family time! There are so many pictures that I’ve had to narrow them down!

Love you,
Mama

Two!

Dear Owen,

Today, you are two! You are such a fun little guy and you make our lives so bright! You are talking so much, you know your letters and letter sounds, and you crack up laughing whenever you think something is funny — which is a lot! You are very strong willed and you are passionate (and loud) about how you feel about things. You recently started jumping out of your crib, so we made it into a toddler bed, and you are learning how important it is to stay in it! You are a daredevil and you love to have fun! You are pure joy, Owen.

Love you,
Mama

..

Dear Bennett,

We spent most of this weekend at Phoenix Children’s Hospital because you were sick. You were treated for dehydration and tested for a few things and then released as good as new! This hospital stay made us so grateful in so many ways. We saw sick kids there who spend a lot of their lives in a hospital room. We are grateful for the health our family enjoys. You were treated by excellent physicians and nurses at a hospital built for children. We areĀ gratefulĀ for that level of care. While we were there I prayed and prayed and prayed that this is the longest hospital stay that any of my children ever have. It’s my deepest heart’s desire to see you all healthy and happy always.

Love you,
Mama

Election Day 2012

Dear H, O and B,

Today is presidential election day! We all went to vote after Dad came home from work and then we went to get burritos. We are so lucky to live in a country where we get vote for the candidate of our choice and speak freely about our political views. What’s most amazing to me in this moment is how much our life has changed since the last presidential election. Hayden, you were 14 months old the last time I took you to the polls to cast a vote for the presidency. This time, four short years later, I took three beautiful children!

Love you,
Mama
