Dear Owen,

Today, you are one month old. You have grown so much! You are busting out of your newborn clothes, so we are getting ready to pack them away because the 0-3 month size is fitting you much better! You weigh almost 9 pounds now! You are getting pretty good at holding your head up and you are finally starting to like baths. This month has flown by — it feels like you were just born yesterday, but it also feels like you’ve been a part of our family forever.

Dear Hayden and Owen,

For today’s holiday activity, we met Santa in the park. Hayden, you were a little starstruck at first, but then you got very comfortable. You also liked Rudolph — you were giving him “knuckles” as we were leaving!  Owen, you were happy to be held by the big guy in the red suit! Also, our Christmas card went out today!

Dear Owen,

You are three weeks old today! You were born at 37 weeks, so today is your due date! We’ve had such a great time getting to know you. You are a very sweet boy. You sleep a lot of the time, but your eyes have also been open more in the last few days, so it’s been fun to talk to you and hang out with you while you are awake!

Dear Hayden and Owen,

For the 5th day of Christmas fun, we headed to the Christmas Celebration at church. Hayden, you played outside in the snow (which they had delivered) and rode the ponies. Owen, you were cast as baby Jesus in the nativity skit, so you were inside doing that. We all had a good time! For the 6th day, Hayden, you and I wrote a letter to Santa telling him what you (and Owen in your PS) want for Christmas. You two bring us so much joy — you make everything more fun!

Dear Hayden,

We have been celebrating Christmas in a special way! You have been opening a drawer on your Christmas tree calendar each day, and there is a fun Christmas activity in each drawer.  The first night we watched a Christmas movie and ate popcorn, and on the second night we assembled a gingerbread house! You are having a blast with each activity and you make the holiday season so much fun! Before we know it, Owen will be old enough to get in on the fun with you!

Dear Hayden and Owen,

Today was Thanksgiving, so we went to Nana and Papa’s for Thanksgiving dinner and then we came home, changed into our Christmas pajamas and decorated our house for Christmas, as we do every Thanksgiving evening! Hayden, you had a great time looking through all the ornaments this year — you loved playing with all of them and asking where we got them! Owen, you slept through the whole thing, but that’s okay! It was fun just to have you here!
