Helping Out
Dear H and O,
You have gotten to spend a lot of extra time together lately because you have been helping out so much, Hayden! You love to feed Owen as well as play with and talk to him. It’s so fun to see the two of you growing closer already! Owen, there is no one in the world you’d rather be with than your sister! Your face lights up when she comes near, and you smile and giggle the whole time she is with you!
Love you,
Mama
Easter Festivities
Dear H and O,
Today is Easter Sunday! We woke up, you found your Easter baskets, we made resurrection rolls (they are hollow on the inside — just like the tomb on Easter morning), we went to church, ate lunch with Nana and Papa and had an Easter egg hunt! We had a great family day!

We are sure this is the only year that you will actually fit inside your Easter basket, so we couldn’t resist:

Easter Eggs
Dear H and O,
Tonight we dyed Easter eggs. Glitter Easter eggs. There is now glitter everywhere. We had a good time, though!

Overalls
Dear Owen,
Today I took pictures of you in a pair of overalls that belonged to your late great grandfather, John J. Borer, who eventually went on to marry your GG and have 9 children, the oldest of whom is your Nana. At best guess, Dad and I think they are about 80 years old! It’s pretty neat to capture such a neat piece of history.
Love you,
Mama
A Family Visit
Dear H and O,
This weekend we had family in town from California. Great Grandpa Rog, Auntie Kim, Uncle Jon and your cousin Madi came to visit. Nana and Papa took you to the zoo with them, Hayden. We had dinner together a couple of times and it was very nice for all of us to be together.
Love you,
Mama

A Friend is Born!
Dear Owen,
Today your good buddy Josiah was born! He’s a sweet boy — and your birthdays are only 5 months apart. Megan and Jeffrey are around a lot, so I know that you and Josiah will be the best of friends!
Love you,
Mama

No comments5 Months Old!
Dear Owen,
Today, you are 5 months old! You are such a good baby!! You are all smiles all the time! You get a little noisy when you are hungry, but the rest of the time you have such a calm, happy personality. You are working on sitting up, you crack up laughing when your sister makes funny faces at you, and your hand is constantly in your mouth, so I think some teeth are on the way! It’s been so fun watching you grow — but it’s going by too quickly!
Love you,
Mama
High School Life Group
Dear Owen,
You’ve been part of a special life group this year. You’ve been with me every Sunday night at the high school life group at the Vos house that Meggy and I lead. From August until November, you came along in my belly! The kids loved you then — they’d rub my belly and feel you kick and hiccup, it was so fun! Then from December until now, you’ve been coming along so that Daddy and Hayden can have some special time together. The kids at life group absolutely LOVE you!! They love to hold you and make you smile and laugh! Tonight was our last lifegroup of the year, and next year you will be too big to bring along, but it’s been so special to share this time with you and such a special group of young people!
Love you,
Mama
Blessed
Dear Owen,
Today, you were baptized! It’s a special day that we share with our church family! Your buddy, Cole, was baptized this morning, too. Nana and Papa came to see you and Grandma drove up from Tucson to be there, but then got ill and was not able to some to church with us — which was a big bummer! It’s always great to see baptisms because it reminds us all of the concept of church family — we take care of each other. It means so much to me that they are committed to helping be part of the “village” that raises you!
Love you,
Mama

Happy Face
Dear Owen,
You caught a stomach bug this week — it’s been just terrible… but you always have such a happy little face, that no one would ever even know that you aren’t feeling good!
Love you,
Mama
